Dear Friends of Safe Harbor,
During the unprecedented crisis we are currently experiencing, be certain that Safe Harbor of Chester County, is doing everything we can to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to help ensure the safety of our residents, staff, and community. To that end, we have temporarily altered the way we provide our life-sustaining services while remaining committed to our mission of providing housing, food, and support to both the homeless men and women in Chester County and our surrounding community
And we need your support…
You know that Safe Harbor offers shelter for up to 20 homeless men and 20 homeless women along with providing meals, laundry access, showers, and support services. We also provide a hot Community Lunch and pop-up food pantry six days a week for the food insecure of Chester County. Right now, along with the health crisis, our community is also suffering a crippling economic downturn. During such times, the most vulnerable among us are more susceptible to disease and suffering and are hit the hardest the fastest. Safe Harbor must continue to be the lighthouse in the storm for these individuals. Please consider making a much-needed contribution to Safe Harbor to help your neighbors in distress. We can’t do it without you.
Our thoughts are with the people suffering from COVID-19, along with all who have been impacted. I want to thank my dedicated staff and all the others providing essential and lifesaving services that put themselves on the front lines every day to serve our community. Following the safety guidelines, let us all take care of ourselves, our families and stay healthy in the days ahead. We are certainly stronger when we support each other.
