Recently Safe Harbor was invited by Siemens Financial Services to their annual company picnic to receive a donation from their team members. This is quite an honor because Siemens Financial Services(SFS) only chose four companies to participate. The event was held at Eagle’s Landing Day Camp in New Jersey. The four companies selected were from the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. SFS has offices close to each other but in different states. So, it only makes sense that they chose two companies from PA and two from NJ. Safe Harbor was the only homeless shelter invited by Siemens Financial Solutions.
Safe Harbor was first introduced to SFS through two of their employees who worked at different headquarters. Tahisha B. and Jennifer W. had shared the mission of Safe Harbor with their management teams locally in NJ & PA and through their offices supporting us, it caught the attention of the President and CEO of Siemens Financial Services, Mr. Anthony Casciano. He has supported not only Safe Harbor over the years, but also his staff to come and play in our Golf Classic Fundraiser over the past couple of years. It is clear that SFS is a company that cares about giving back to the community and it was our honor to have been invited by Siemens Financial Services to meet all of their amazing team and to see them celebrate other agencies doing good work for their communities as well. On behalf of our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and residents living at Safe Harbor of Chester County, we say, “thank you” for supporting our mission to help those experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in Chester County. We are so grateful to companies like SFS who practice philanthropy as a part of their own corporate culture. We cannot do it without you!
