Willie T. Duncan our "Mr. Willie"

We sadly inform the Safe Harbor family of Mr. Willie’s passing on Monday, August 17th, surrounded by loved ones at his side. For over 6 years he greeted volunteers, residents, and community members with a twinkle in his eye and a warm smile. Cooking in the kitchen and working with the Kitchen Volunteers and Staff was his passion. Delicious smells of his beef tips and gravy would fill the rooms.

Mr. Willie represented the best example of empathy and kindness to his co-workers, our residents, and the entire community. He has touched the lives of many people who have walked through our doors. Every person who had the privilege to know him well, or even meet him just one time, was forever changed. His charisma, compassion, sense of humor, generosity, thoughtfulness, gentleness, and friendliness will forever be remembered and cherished.

We Love you and Miss you Dearly, Mr. Willie. Rest in Peace.
