Job Description

Weekend Overnight Shelter Staff oversees general operations and safety of the residents within the shelter. Shift starts at 10:30 p.m. each evening, ends 8:30 on Saturday morning, 9:30 Sunday morning (11-hour shift), and 8:00 a.m. Monday-Friday morning. This is an awake position that oversees the residents retiring by 11:30 p.m. After residents are in bed, there are general custodial activities and other responsibilities required of the position. Documentation of activities and incidents is required for the next staff member and Program Manager. At the appropriate time get continental breakfast ready, wake residents, preparing them to leave for the day, make certain resident area is tidy and presentable and residents follow current COVID-19 protocols. After residents depart the shelter, perform necessary custodial tasks and other duties as assigned prior to leaving shift.

Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and who may suffer from chronic physical or mental health conditions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 – $13.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
To maintain the safety of staff and residents protocols have been put into place which involve temperature and symptoms review upon entering the facility, wearing masks, frequent handwashing and use of hand sanitizer and gloves, and proper social distancing.
